YOUTH / JUNIOR LEAGUE 2008

 

 

·         START TIME will be 10:30am at all venues. Team Mangers should arrive at the venue with team sheet and cards prepared for the first match.

·         Teams not at the Venue by 11:00am will be scratched from the championship unless agreed by teams competing in that event.

·         In the Youth Section ,all games to be 21 up with 6 start on card.

·         In the Junior Section where there are4 teams  at a round of matches,all games will be 21 up with a 6 start on the card.Where there are only three competing teams,each team will play each other twice.The first round of matches will be 21 up with a 6start on the card.The second round of matches will be 11 up with no start on card.

·         Super Champions title can only be won by teams that compete in all three events.

·         If a team turns up at a competition short of players they will be allowed to play one player twice. However this must player must play at No 8 and be the lowest scoring player (i.e. worst loser or lowest scoring winner) from the games completed in the first four blocks. Teams with less than seven players will be able to play however their results will not be counted in the championship.

·         Points System will be 1pt per winning individual game and 1pt for the teams that wins the aggregate score. 9 points in total per match. Drawn aggregate score 1pt each.

·         Eight players per team. Male or Female players.

·         Junior age limit is 16 and under on May 1st 2008.

·         Youth age limit is 20 and under on May 1st 2008.

·         Prize Money will be paid to winners of each event held.

DIRECTIONS TO VENUES

1. The HOST District shall be responsible for forwarding directions to the junior delegates (see list attached) of districts that are competing in the relevant leagues that are being held in their area.

DRESS CODE

2. Where possible all districts should try to adhere to the BCGBA Dress Code. This being club tee shirt with grey or black trousers no shorts, jeans or football tops.

MEASURING

3. Each team playing in the team championships is required to nominate one person from their team to help with the measuring.

REFEREES

4. Host districts are responsible for providing referees.

TEAM MANAGERS

5. Team Managers need to ensure that the games in each match are kept flowing. Please have your teams made out for each match as soon as possible. Use your common sense regarding order of your play for your players. We need to maintain at least four blocks at all times. This will sometimes mean that you will not be able to change your order of play from game to game.
