TITLE Federation
of Crown Green Bowls. 2
AIMS The
objects of the Federation shall be to organise, encourage and promote the
game of Crown Green Bowls for both male and female members. 3
MEMBERSHIP Open
to Associations, Districts and Leagues. Applications
to be submitted to the board at any time. 4
GOVERNING BODY Shall
consist of nine elected Officer positions, along with up to six other elected
Board Members. Terms
of no longer than three consecutive years shall be served by three Directors
of the Board in rotation, re-election is permitted. Meetings
may be called at any time and may appoint such ad hoc committees as are
needed on behalf of the Board, such meetings to include all Officers. Five to
form a quorum. 5
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (A) Will
be held in November with date, time and venue set by the board. (B) Voting
representation shall be the officers and additional delegates making one per
affiliate. (C) Notice
shall be issued not less than 14 days before the meeting to those eligible to
attend, with it shall be the agenda, nominations for officers, the audited
statement of accounts, the balance sheet and notices of motion. 6
BYE LAWS AND EVENT RULES (A) Suggested
alterations and or additions/deletions to these may be submitted by the board
and affiliates, and must be received by September 15th. (B) Any
amendments shall be made at the annual general meeting and shall require a
simple majority for those present for bye laws and event rules. (C) The
board, whose decision shall be binding, shall decide any matter not provided
for in these rules. Copies of such decision shall be issued to all affiliates
and in case of any infringement thereof or any action, which, in the opinion
of the board might bring the Federation into disrepute, such penalty may be
imposed, as the board deems appropriate. 7
FINANCE (A) The
year shall commence on 1st October and end the following September
30th. (B) The
board shall decide fees. Affiliation fees shall be paid by the annual general
meeting each year, others on request. 8
DISPUTES AND APPEALS (A) An
affiliate making a protest against any other, whether as a body or as an
individual member/s on any grounds shall forward a copy of such protest to
the board and to the officers of the affiliate in question within 7 days of
the dispute. (B) Any
affiliate aggrieved by a decision of another affiliate and deeming that the
dispute merits a hearing, shall have the right to appeal. (C) In
either of the above cases a sum of £10.00 shall be deposited with the board
by the appellants/s and upon receipt a meeting shall be called within 28
days. An ad hoc committee of 7 affiliates shall be appointed by the board and
after hearing evidence from all parties it shall give its decision, including
all financial aspects. |
