The chairman opened the meeting by greeting everyone.

 

A minute’s silence was then held in particular for Ian Forder from Airedale.

 

Minutes of last year’s AGM:

The minutes of the last meeting were read and passed proposed S Thompson, seconded Bill Booth. Unanimous.

 

Matters arising:

No matters arising and no correspondence.

 

Balance sheet:

Bill Booth presented the Balance sheet for 2011.

It was proposed by Tony Hodgetts and seconded by Dave Clarke that it be accepted. Unanimous.

 

Press:

Brian Holgate reported he was currently sending 2000 words per month to 21 Up, which could be read by using the simple link from the Website. In addition, an article was placed in The Crown Greener. He was asked to look into placing something in the newsletter produced by B C G B A.

 

Juniors / Youths:

Ken Howarth presented a very comprehensive report on the year’s events. His full report can be found on the Website.

 

Coordinator:

David Kay reported that he had agreed a criteria with B C G B A insurance re any affiliate who thought they had a case to argue they could be paying twice should contact him in March before we declare or Affiliates to B C G B A.

 

Child and vulnerable people Protection. A discussion took place and it was decided to leave our Policy statement and general policy on the matter for now until further work could be carried out.

 

League dates were set as follows - April 29th, May 27th, June 24th, July 29th and Aug 26th.

 

No matches to be rearranged after 31st March.

 

Events for 2012 are:

Ladies Merit Hare Hill Park, Littleborough, Rochdale

Federation v Civil Service, Federation Ladies v Civil Service Ladies Both matches to be played at the Grange B C 29th June

Junior / Youth Merit Roe Lee Park, Blackburn 5th August

Over Sixties Merit Owley Wood Sports Club 10th Aug

Sixty Plus Supreme Championship Halifax Bowling Club

Team Knockout New formula Rochdale/Todmorden area 9th September

Individual Merit Tadcaster B C 16th September

Champion of Champions Todmorden Park 23rd September   

Over Sixties Leagues to continue as at present

 

Notices of Motion:

Notice of Motion to regionalise the National League was withdrawn.
